“Keep the focus on employers’ view” was the title of the workshop organized by the Hungarian Public Employment Service as part of the nation biggest HR Festival during the European Vocational Skills Week and Employers’ Day. The workshop was welcomed by Johannes Kopf director of the Austrian Public Employment Service and since July 2019, the Chair of the European PES Network. More than 1000 HR officers and CHRO (Chief Human Resource Officers) visited the one-day long event.
During the Hungarian PES workshop the HR leaders expressed their willingness to cooperate more closely with the PES at the national but also at the European level. 2.3 % of jobs in euro area and 2.3 % of jobs in the EU were vacant in the second quarter of 2019. Finding the right candidates is a more time consuming and resource demanding issue also in the Hungarian labour market.
CHROs believe that alongside with the adjustment of the taxation policy the further development of on-the-job training schemes and the development of more flexible PES services they can better serve the needs of the companies.
Johannes Kopf underlines the importance of employers:
Cooperation with employers is decicive for a PES because their role is crucial for the success of a PES
